En ese sentido, Alden Rivera dijo que “eso no existe, de tal manera que eso es un nuevo engaño, que se agrega a la visa de tránsito y que Estados Unidos estaría recibiendo solicitudes para otorgar refugio a los migrantes”.
Considero que lo anterior refleja desesperación que hay en los dirigentes de las movilizaciones ante la convicción de que tendrán grandes dificultades en el momento de llegar a la frontera con Estados Unidos.
Las posibilidades de empleo en México en realidad son muy limitadas “y realmente siento que no es la solución”, sostuvo.
Refugio
Recordó que el programa “Esta es tu casa” anunciado por el presidente mexicano Enrique Peña Nieto, en favor de los migrantes que hayan solicitado la condición de refugio, para que se puedan quedar trabajando, pero en forma temporal y no definitiva y adquirir los beneficios de educación y salud.
Desde entonces las solicitudes de refugio no se han incrementado de manera sustantiva, reveló Rivera.
Aclaró que la embajada de Honduras desde el primer momento ha buscado la oportunidad de reunirse con los dirigentes de la movilización irregular.
El objetivo es tratar de conversar y sostener un diálogo sincero y transparente acerca de las motivaciones y expectativas en su recorrido por México y en el momento de llegar a la frontera con Estados Unidos, agregó.
Pero no hemos tenido oportunidad de reunirnos con ellos, pero tenemos la expectativa para tener una plática abierta, pensando en los intereses de la gente, afirmó.

Precisó que alrededor de unos 1,200 migrantes hondureños han solicitado la condición de refugio.
Rivera anunció que mañana se trasladará al albergue ubicado en Tapachula, para reunirse con el administrador de ese centro, autoridades de los derechos humanos y del Instituto Nacional de Migración.
El propósito es el de constatar las condiciones en que se encuentran viviendo los 1,200 compatriotas y una cantidad similar de salvadoreños, según Rivera.
Entre todos, son un poco más de 3,000 las personas que han solicitado la condición de refugio y en ese sentido el proceso va avanzando, afirmó.
Se tendrá que esperar en primera instancia un período de 45 días y una segunda etapa de otros 45 días, en caso que no se reúna la información y los argumentos suficientes, para que el gobierno mexicano se pueda pronunciar al respecto, concluyó.
