“Para mejorar las condiciones de financiamiento, se requiere refinanciar los créditos. La banca tradicional dice que no puede refinanciar mientras no mejoren las garantías de los créditos”, agregó.
Iniciativa
Salinas explicó que a esta situación el Gobierno de la República ha respondido con la iniciativa de Ley para que los cafetaleros tengan acceso al crédito y refinanciamiento a través de un fondo de garantía que ya tiene una inyección inicial de 300 millones de lempiras.
“El Gobierno de la República a través de un Consorcio de Garantías Recíprocas (Confianza), aporta lo que se llama un capital de socio protector a fin de que liberen garantías en favor de los cafetaleros que hoy tienen créditos”, explicó Salinas.
“Esto para que puedan refinanciar sus créditos hasta en un 20% adicional del crédito que tenían antes o uno nuevo dependiendo de su capacidad productiva”, agregó.
